Sounds like my husband. I swear he tries to get fired from doing chores.

I do this occasionally. I don't notice any smell. I just run the rinse and spin cycle again , and its done.

Yes, occasionally I forget and go to sleep. I've never had any issues with it smelling bad after only sitting overnight.

It happens often in our house. Someone is always doing laundry and I'm not always aware of it. If I put something in the washer, I'll make an effort put it in the dryer before bed. Sometimes, though, I'll forget if I'm dealing with a sick child or some other disaster around the house.

When we had lower water rates after 8 pm, I did this all the time. I would throw a load in before bed and then dry it in the morning - I never had a problem with mildew.

I have occassionally forgotten and that is because I would be doing laundry late at night so I make it a habit to get laundry done early in the morning that way I don't forget.
