I love candles and love to have them burning in my home. I try to purchase them when they are on sale and try not to spend to much money on them. Sometimes I feel like they are a waste of money but then when they are burning at night the lights are off. Plus the added scent they add to the home is wonderful.

Do you buy candles for your home? How much do you spend? Do you consider it waste of money or cost effiencent?

I don't buy scented candles...because I find 99% of the 'scents' very unpleasant smelling to me. I do like candles though, I like plain white (unscented). I used to get them at IKEA, where they had TONS of sizes (all unscented), because the prices were great. In recent years though, it's hard to find anything beyond tapers/tealights at IKEA that aren't scented...unfortunately.

We burn tapers every night at dinner and I burn tealights (large and small) in the family room in the evening when we're in there reading, the kids finishing up homework or talking. And definately when we entertain.

Do I consider them a 'waste of money or cost efficient'? I have no idea...I guess I don't consider them either! LOL!

No! Most scents make me sneeze and I really don't like knick knacky things. I would never burn them, just to great a chance of fire, especially with kids around.

I burn a candle at least once a week. I pick light smells as to not over power anything. My favorites are Yankee candles. I was recently give a whole bunch by mil. She bought a ton of the big ones. She would burn them once and decide she didnt like the scent so she gave them too me. I do also buy glade/fabreeze candles too. But I always wait until double coupon week at work and get one. I can usually get them on sale on top of that.
I dont know if they are a waste of money. I am sure I could spend the few dollars I spend on them every few months on something else. I probably spend $24 a year on candles.

We seem to always have scented candles, though I can't remember ever buying any. We mostly burn autumn scents in the fall.

Love them!

I buy and burn Yankee Candles. I do try to buy them when there is some sort of promotion. However, I always HAVE to have a spiced pumpkin candle and would pay full price if they weren't on sale.

I love them but we never burn them because of the kids and pets. We have gotten a few as gifts that we use for decoration on our coffee table.

Himself says that one of the many cool things about being married to a Pagan is that he never has to worry about being prepared for a power failure. I have candles of all shapes, sizes, colors, scented and unscented. I use them for ritual purposes, and just because I like the look and smell of them burning.

This is me!

I buy yankee candles, whether they are on sale or not.

But when I find a good sale on them, I just buy more

I burn candles all the time. I have a good friend who sells PartyLite so when they are having a good sale I stock up. She also runs mystery hostess parties twice a year and I win some free during those.

Before I met her I used to burn Yankee Jar Candles, but I am not crazy about their votives so I didn't burn candles as often as I do now.
