We are told that our water is okay to drink, but it tastes horrible. We fill water jugs for a free standing water cooler.

Ours is fine, but I usually use it out of our refrigerator as that is filtered first.

Our water is okay to drink most of the time, but very unreliable (lots of pipe breaks and the like). Our treatment facility is also unreliable. Last year our town water was subjected to a test and it had elevated levels of all sorts of carcinogens, even though they built a new plant and everything less than 4 years ago. They tested us because they had an unprecedented rise in brain tumors in a town nearby (a really high ratio of tumorsopulation), and we failed the test for the exact reasons that town did.

That said, I have never drank the water in this town. We have always had a dispenser with the 5G jugs. I don't know that I would even trust a filtration system here.
