Question Is your water free (well water) or do you have to buy it?

Do you have a well for your water or do you have to pay for city water?

We have well water, but I don't consider it free, since we have to pay for the electricity to pump it into the house.

We have to pay for it, which pisses me off, since we have to buy filters in order to be able to drink it.

We have well water and I agree, it isn't necessarily "free". In addition to drinking water, we pay $75 a year for an irrigation share to water our garden.

Well. It's hardly free though. Every 10-15 years or so, something like a pump will go out requiring a large bill. Sometimes a new well has to be dug, that's a huge expense we luckily have not had yet, but some of our neighbors have.

We have well water and it is far from free. We have to maintain the well, pump and drain fields. In addition to that, we have a water softener, UV light and filters. The softener also requires salt each month.
