Decorating around my house is pretty generic. I decorate my mantle and the sofa table in the living rm. I also put up seasonal window clings

I think for holiday decor it does not have to be, if you shop the year before at clearance time.

For regular decor, I think it depends on taste.

Not at all!

I take what I have an re-purpose it!

Like a long mirror becomes a tray to hold glasses or candles.

A wine rack, becomes a guest bathroom towel holder.

Long stem wine glasses become candle holders.

Xmas balls become a centerpiece when put in a clear crystal bowl.

Pillow shams go over the back of a rocker or kitchen chairs.
