Default Do you think it costs to much to put up Holiday lights outside?

we have never hung lights for the holidays. I love how it looks but just don't want to use the electricity.

How about you do you do lights or no lights?

It only cost you too much if it doesn't bring you joy.

I usually put a few up, I see maybe a $10 difference.

I get such a kick of the pretty lights, that I find it worth it.

We used to go all out, but it did become too expensive. Now we may put out a few lights, but not much.

For us, it's not so much the electricity bill, but the squirrels that keep eating our electrical cords. It became quite costly.

I love the white Christmas lights all around the house. Honestly, we have never noticed a big spike in our electric bill.

I've never noticed a difference in our bill, but even if I did I would do it anyway. I love the lights and one of the reasons I work so hard to save money in some areas of my life is so I can splurge on the things that bring my family joy.

We've never noticed a big difference in electricity either. Replacing the lights and the time and effort are the big expenses for us.

We put up lighte every year, we also put them on timers so they are only on for a few hours each day and it might cost us a difference of $10-20 depending upon how much we have up, but we figure it's only once a year and it's kinda tradition for us.
