What method did you use to purchase your last auto? Did you use a lease? Did you pay cash? Did you make payments? Was it a gift? Or some other method ... I don't know, maybe you stole it.

I was going to say to made payments. But that isn't true. We paid cash for my DH's beater truck.

My truck was my bday gift when I turned 16-my dad just paid it off. The car DH got we're making payments on.

We paid cash for one and financed the other.

We've always financed, but mine will be paid off soon. I'm going to take half my payment and add it to DH's car and the 2nd half will start a savings for when we buy our next one (hopefully a long time away).

We financed both and paid them off early.

We financed it. I have been paying extra when dh gets overtime and I am hoping that we can pay it off early with our tax return.
