For me it is. I figure in dog and cat food alone that the membership is paid for every year.

It is for me, in that I don't have to cover my member fees since MIL just added me to her membership. There are certain things I buy there, but like anything, you have to know your prices and it totally depends on what you buy. Some things are a good deal, and some things just aren't. That's just been my experience with all those price clubs.

It was a huge waste when it was just DH & I - we never used it. After DD was born, Similac and wipes were really cheap - and now after coming to MS, I have learnt to stock up when things come with coupons, so it helps a lot.

We pay for our membership with lint rollers! We have four cats and use a ton. They are 12.95 for 5 there and they are nearly 5 dollars each anywhere else.

We just got a membership a couple months back, and so far, I would say it is well worth the membership. $1.59 for a gallon of milk at Costco is unheard of where I live. Right now it's over $3.00 a gallon. It's a drive for us, a little over an hour, so I still have to factor in the gas used to get there, but we usually make a day of it in the Cities with other shopping and visiting friends, so it's worth it for us.

We don't buy as much as we used to there but it is still a savings for us - gas alone is about .20 cheaper per gallon and it is convient to us. We have the executive membership and we always get a larger check back than our membership dues so we don't really pay for our membership that and we have an American Express and get another check back for that.

We love some of their products - just be sure you can use them up before they go bad - if something is cheaper but you toss half of it it isn't a bargain.

Our store is starting to carry a few organics and I am so happy. I hope they continue and expand their selections. I was hoping to do more Christmas shopping there but unfortunately they didn't carry some of the things I wanted so ... have to go elsewhere.

When I was making a top 20 price book last year, I was SOOO excited to learn that yeast comes out to 11 cents and ounce at Costco! We make bread about twice a week, so this was a huge savings over the 3/4 ounce packets that were over a dollar in the grocery store. We also just bought a big bag of flour there, so I think those items are worth it. We share our membership with my sister in law.

Absouletly! Gas is at least 15 cents cheaper along with milk, eggs and butter. And since I'm making most of my own cleaning supplies I love buying vinegar and baking soda in bulk.

We pay our memberships with just what we save on Milk. We go through about 5 gallons of milk per week. I love Costco.
