Last time we ran this poll I almost always had a table cloth on my table but I had an ugly table. Now I have a new table and I no longer use a cloth. Actually I need to pick a couple of (I do like using them once in awhile) but my table shape is different from last time and none of the old ones fit.

No...I don't use one daily on our kitchen table for regular meals. We use placemats to protect the table from the bottom of the plates. When we have a party, I do often use a cloth on our dining room table.

I don't keep a tablecloth on my table at all times, but do put one on the table when we are having guests over for dinner. The kids just eat on the table and then I clean it up.

Only for formal occasions. We don't use place mats either. Too much dditional laundry when something gets spilled on them. Our table has a tile top, so spills come off easily with a damp rag.

I don't even own a table cloth. It would be too hard to keep clean. I can just wipe the table down.

I have a tablecloth because that is where everything gets dumped when people come in the house....including small engines

I use a tablecloth when no one is eating, and no tablecloth when people are lol it's backwards, but it's the only way to keep that table from getting dinged and scratched and stained. And I don't have to worry about coloring spillover from overzealous scribbling near the edge of the page

I either always have either a tablecloth or table runner with a bowl of fruit that sits in the middle of my table. When we are eating I take all of these things off the table though. My table is square and fits 4 people if there is anything else on the table it just don't seem to leave you any space for you food.
