In winter, we have less dust, but the animals stay indoors more, so there's more hair. So I dust less, sweep more.

Other than that, the same stuff needs doing no matter what the weather is.

I wish they would decrease, but they increase.

More jeans and sweat shirts which means more loads of laundry b/c they are bulky.

Have the de-humidifier running which means cleaning that out once every 2 weeks.

I can use the clothesline now, because it won't be so humid outside.

Nope, I am just as "anal" about a clean house, no matter what the season is

I have more laundry to do in the winter from wearing lots of layers. I also have to mop the floors more often because more dirt comes in on rainy and snowy days.

I'm kind of anal about the house smelling good. Part of my cleaning routine is to open windows and air the house out for a few hours, which I can't do in winter. I struggle with the closed-up smell in the winter. I use more air fresheners, which I don't care for. If the wind's not howling I might risk opening a couple windows for a half hour or so but it's just not the same.

ITA with this. I hate the idea of stale air in my house all winter (even with the heat on). I love the fresh air and also try to sneak the windows open for a bit no matter how cold it is (although my kids always complain!!). I remember my mom doing the same thing - now I understand why she did it! I also think a burst of fresh air it especially good when someone has been sick with the flu!
