My car gets "washed" if I park it on the driveway instead of under the carport when it's raining. I consider washing the outside of my car a waste of water unless there's something on it that could dissolve the paint.

My cars only get washed a few times a year and they seem to look just as nice as everyone else's.

Ours get washed when it rains.

Once in a blue moon, I'll get bored and want to do something outside, and I'll wash the trucks, but that is just for some personal accomplishment. The first car that drives by raises the dust and it's back to square one. We also live on a dirt road.
