When you get gas?

Before gas prices went so high last summer, I use to get a car wash, when I filled up, about every three fill ups. And then, when gas went so high, I stopped and even though gas has dropped back down, I think there has been one time that I paid for the gas station car wash.

Am I the only one?

We don't have any stations near us, that have a car wash and gas station combine.

But I wash my car every Sunday after church, and fill up with gas on Mondays.

DH says those car washes aren't good for your car (scratches or something), so I don't use them. Either DH will wash our cars or he will have someone wash them.

I used to LOVE going through those car washes when I was little. I may have to sneak and take DD through one sometime.

No, I don't trust any automatic car wash.

My dealer washes my car if I bring it in for an oil change or service. Other than that, it's lucky to get washed if we're going to a wedding or funeral. We live on a dirt road so it stays clean for all of 2 minutes.

No...we're very particular as to where we get our cars washed, and Dh doesn't like the scrubbers/cloths that are used in those gas station car wash places, he thinks they damage the car finish.

I usually only wash mine a few times a year, in the winter to wash the salt off (too cold to wash myself) and sometimes in the spring to wash all the tree pollen.

our car is pretty ugly, so i don't care to wash it. a gleaming white car with scratches and dents galore looks terrible. i'll save my money there.
