I've always heard this tip, on how to keep your house warmer, but didn't really believe it. But this weekend, we're painting, and I have the outlet covers off. Do you know, while I was sitting in front of one of them, that I actually could feel a cold breeze coming through the wall from that outlet?! I was amazed at how strong it actually was. Can't wait till I get the old covers up at least ... I'm going to buy new ones soon.

Anyway, that is my tip for the day.

Do you think these would do the same? These are pretty cheap at the dollar store!

I'm talking about just regular outlet covers. I know from time to time, for whatever reason, someone might be missing them -- we're missing one in an extra bedroom right now because it is an odd shape.

We even have outlet insulation gaskets that go behind the covers and they really work... They are a thin pc of foam that is the same shape as the outlet covers and switch plate covers.

get the foam insulation ones you put behind the outlet covers they really do work great they are really cheap at walmart a box is $3 bucks and you get outlet and plug ones in it. they are easy to put on and you only need them on the outlets on exterior walls.
