I've seen how to make baby wipes, but i am wondering about Clorox wipes. MY 4 yr. old never sits far back on the potty and it runs down the sides. I am using a lot of them, and am thinking of putting bathroom cleaner and paper towels in my bathrooms. Our powder room has no storage that is hidden, so I have a striped Clorox wipe container from the holidays I keep putting the new wipes in there and it's on my shelf in the open.

I have heard that you can use Pinesol and it will disinfect and make them similar to the baby wipes. I'll try to find out more and let you know....

I took the select a size Viva paper towels and put them in a wipes container and poured Clorox Anywhere food safe dissinfectant spray over them and use them like wipes. I got the idea because my 5 yo like to "clean" and was always asking for my clorox wipes, so I started wetting a paper towel with the Clorox anywhere spray because it's safe and giving him that to clean with. I wished they made wipes with the stuff, so I made my own. I like that the stuff has no strong scent and I make the bottle last longer because I can do 2 rolls of towels with one bottle of stuff and I had $1 off coupons for what I bought, so I got the stuff to make almost 200 wipes for under $3!

That is a good deal - especially since there are usually only 35 wipes in a container that is a good deal when you can find it on sale for $2.

It kills 99.9% of germs and is safe to put on baby pacifiers and toys. I love this stuff! I was thinking the same thing about making the wipes. I bet you could even put some water in with it and it would be just as effective. (I'm no scientist but I bet it would) That would cut the price even lower. I never thought about making wipes from the spray! Great Idea!

Go to www.thrityfun.com

1/2 roll bounty paper towels (I use blue shop towels)
2 1/2 cups water
1/4 cup bleach.

Boil water, add bleach and pour over towels. The original recipe says you can cut the paper towels in half and use a plastic coffee container. I prefer to use a rubbermaid bread container and use shop towels. After I use them I wash them and place in the container to use again, although they are inexpensive. Good Luck!!

That's a great idea. I really like that Anywhere spray. I am constantly having to clean DD's toilet, too. I may try this.
