I have the four shelf pantry too. On the top left is baking stuff by size smallest and most frequently used item in front. In the middle is boxed foods like pastas, on the right is drink boxed items like the tea boxes. 2nd shelf from top is snacks and kids snacks on left and breakfast foods on right, 3rd shelf down is canned foods, 4th/bottom shelf is for paper products, ziplock, foil,etc.. all the misc items that are not food! All my spices and cooking powders are in a cabinet above the stove.

Hello Fellow Mommysavers,
For my pantry I went to Dollar Tree and got 10 by 14 approx. containers plastic with hand handles. Try to get stackable ones. I then divide up my pantry items. All my can goods in one. All my pasta in one. I also take, oatmeal, grtiz etc. out of books and put in the plastic boxes. I also have two baking ones. So, when I want to bake cookies, I pull down the box that had flour, sugar, baking soda, baking powder, pecans, vanilla extract. It is great to find stuff, you do not have to take everything out of the pantry. This system worked great when we had a small closet pantry, the trays work like pull out drawers, so when I was ready to move, I just brought ten boxes over and I was done. You can look at all your can goods without knocking them all down. I also have containers in my small refigerator. The corporations are catching on, and know are selling refrigerator storage. I hope this helps someone. Just measure you cabinet first and bring tape measure to the store, and measure and find you some storage. I like stackable so you can stack and really save room if your shelf is tall enough. You can also label the outside of the container with what is in it. I just have a special space for them in the closet. MY kids love it, because my son can bake, easily. He made pancakes and clean up was just putting items back in box and saving. My other son, finds his oatmeal quickly and has breakfast made in a flash. While we are on organization, if your school has uniforms, I bought the three drawer plastic containers and I put their shirts, pants, and shorts in each a drawer. They are no longer searhing for their uniforms and can be dressed in a flash, too. It keeps their uniforms from being mixed with their other clothes and I put this in their closet to minimize on clutter. Ask any questions, I like to be organized, I hate losing something.. Have a great Day, Danielle

I bought some organizers that will hold 9 rows of 3 cans each, when you take one can out the next one rolls down. It makes my smaller pantry look and store much more. I found some on a website:
http://www.containerstore.com/browse...8&PRODID=67324
I have also seen similar items at Linens and things or bed, bath and beyond and some of the kitchen factory stores will also have them. They are not very expensive. Good luck!

I have a huge lack of cabinet space... no pantry either. I hate it. I would really like to organize it more. We plan to have someone insert some shelves into the cabinets... they are very deep, so I can't store as much as neatly as I would like... I am really determined to get this place all cleaned and organized before I start working again.

Wow, I am sooooo jealous of all of your pantries. Mine is like a very small closet, and at the bottom is dog food, so that takes up a bunch of my space. I like the ideas you all have given and I am very inspired to organize my pantry. Mine just ends up being throw stuff on top of each other and if it stays it's good. If it falls, try again. We have four small shelves in the pantry.
I am def. going to Bed Bath and Beyond on my lunch break today (pending the rain lets up here) and look for that gravity-feed can rack Deidra suggested. I might also look to see if they have an over-the-door hanging system that has mini shelves that I could put on the door of my pantry. I like the shoe holder idea, so I will do that if I can't find the over-the-door shelves. I just don't know how much of my stuff I could fit in the show holder, since the items I get are mostly large items and aren't really snack sized. Wish me luck!
(I think the nesting has kicked in a little and that is also a reason why I am suddenly so inspired!)

Update: I went to Linens and Things and Bed, Bath and Beyond and couldn't find exactly what I wanted and it was more expensive than containerstore.com.
now I am searching for any discount codes...Then I am one step closer to pantry organization!
