How do you all have your bedrooms decorated? Is there anythng that you have done that you are particularly proud of? Normally I am good at decorating but I'm sort of at a loss. Would appreciate any ideas.

I love our bedrooms, they are my favorite. I am really partial to the color green, it's soothing. So I found a soft color green and painted my walls and ceiling the same color. I have crochet cream colored valences, and a cream bedspread w/ crochet details and tons of matching pillow shams and I found a really pretty duvet cover for a puffy old comforter that has small roses on it that I keep on the foot of the bed. My rug is cream colored. I also painted my two dressers off white and added pretty knobs. Then oposit the foot of the bed I made a little sitting area. I bought a pretty throw rug at a garage sale and brought up to queen ann type chairs and use an antiquie sewing machine as the table in between them. I love sitting there talking w/ dh.

My kids bedroom is a huge mural of grass, sky, clouds and trees. I hand panted their dressers to blend in with the walls and did scenes on them too. It's a really cute and fun room.

I love my room but the whole idea started with my furniture. It is expresso finish and the head board has a brown microfiber sued panel. So the walls are a nice Ralph Lauren vintage masters Calypso blue. and I did a stripeing effect with satian and flat paint. Same color just reflects the light diffrent. white trim molding and closet doors. and choc brown velvet curtains to match the bed. I love my room it is nice and relaxing, soothing

My bedroom is decorated in a "North Woods" theme. The walls are tan and the trim is painted white. We have hunter green drapes on the windows. I bought the quilt off of Overstock.com and it has dark colors and I LOVE it. We have a really neat picture above our bed that shows a cabin on a lake and the same colors are in the quilt. Our favorite vacation spot has been northern Minnesota along Lake Superior so that was the inspiration for the room.
ds #1 has a sports theme in his room with navy, burgandy and white.
ds#2 has a dinosaur theme in light blue, navy and white.

My bedrooms re undergoing a transition.

Conors was decorated in a wrestling theme, (he was into a mad wrestlemania phase) but now that he is 13 and all grown up ready for Secondary School in two weeks we are renegotiating!!! He doesnt want a particular theme just somewhere to store and hang his signed football and music posters!! Im going for a pale green and cream theme but its not set yet.

Tadhgs room was a fairly neutral cream again background to the posters on the wall and the doors. He as a quite study corner in is room that just had his school books, desk, and radio. His curtains and bedlinen had a chinese writing theme. If he goes away to College and Il know that on Monday then Conor will have his room.

Otherwise I was going to change bedrooms with him, but if Conor is going to have it ill stay where I am. My room will have a pale pink and lavender theme. I only have two full walls in my room, one wall is almost all windows and the other has wall to wall wardrobes.

The guest room has a Laura Ashley faded floral theme

Our walls are a goldenrod color and our bedding is moss green (I love earth tones). For accent color, I used a brick red. I have the letters cut out "DREAM" in the red color on a bookcase and matching throw pillows. I love the splash of color against a more muted background.
