I make my own laundry soap, but DH came home with Tide w/ Febreze last week. I LOVE the smell. While shopping this weekend I was tempted to buy more, then I thought...Hmmmm...why not just buy some Febreze (spring & renewel scent--same as in Tide) and add it to my homemade laundry soap. I did, and it smells great! Almost like the Tide, and about $20 cheaper for the same size container!!

i love essential oils good for the environment and makes your house smell pretty!!!
You can use all these in a spray bottle (which i perfer) or on a sponge.
So simple, so inexpensive and so very non-toxic!
heres a few simple ones

Germs Away Spray

* 1 tsp of Eucalyptus essential oil
* 1 tsp of Tea tree essential oil
* 1 tsp of Lavender essential oil
* 1 tsp of Pine essential oil
* 1\2 tsp of Thyme essential oil
* 1\2 tsp of Clove essential oil
* 50 ml of brandy or vodka
* 1 cup of distilled water
* Blend together the oils in a 1 fl oz glass bottle
* Add 1\2-1 tsp of the oil blend to a glass bottle containing 50 ml of brandy or vodka
* Allow to dissolve; then add the water

Woodwork & Window Wash

* 1 tsp of Bergamot essential oil
* 1\2 tsp of Lavender essential oil
* 20 drops of Mandarin essential oil
* 20 drops of Cedar essential oil
* 20 drops of Sandalwood or juniper essential oil
* Place all the oils in a dark glass bottle and blend well

All-Purpose Cleaner

* 2oz (60g) of baking soda (kills germs)
* 2 liters of hot water
* 4 tsp of vinegar
* 3 tsp of the bug zapper
* 4 tsp of ammonia
* First mix the baking soda and hot water
* Let cool

Bathroom Protector

* 1 1\2 tsp of Lemon essential oil
* 1 tsp of Bergamot essential oil
* 1 tsp of Pine essential oil
* 1\2 tsp of Citronella essential oil
* 1\2 tsp of Thyme essential oil
* 1\2 tsp of Tea Tree essential oil
* Place and shake well in a 1 fl oz glass bottle

Furniture Polish

* 1\4 cup of olive oil
* 1\4 cup of lemon juice
* 1 tsp of lemon essential oil

Hardwood Floor Cleaning
* A healthy splash of apple cider vinegar (it kills germs and bacteria better than white vinegar)
* add 5-7 drops Tea Tree Essential Oil ( it overpowers the vinegar scent, inhibits mold growth, conditions wood, and inhibits bacteria and viruses)
* Bucket Full Of Water
