Great tips! I do most of these but don't have a clothesline. I can not seem to get my light bill under $150! I only have a 1400 sq ft house!

More tips..send them on!!

Add insulation. We added insulation (blown in type) to our attic early this spring. I have really noticed a difference in how much more even the a/c and heat have been. It cost a few bucks up front, but we are more comfortable and our electric bill isn't quite as scary .

in only thelamps or lights we use most and have lowered our bill by $5 a month. We wanted to see if it would actually save us money before outfitting the whole house and it did. We plan to change out all the other bulbs as soon as they die.

We supplement our heat with a wood burning stove. During the winter, the only time our furnace kicks on is at night, usually around 3-4am.

When I bake, I try to make several batches of cookies and/or brownies, etc. so the oven is on for awhile, but not every other day.
