1. baking
2. keep an opened container in the refrigerator and freezer to keep things smelling fresh.
3. makes a nice scouring powder when cleaning the kitchen sink
4. I've read about people using it as a toilet cleaner
5. sprinkle in the bottom of the kitty litter pan to keep it fresh smelling. I then put the litter bag in over top of the baking soda.

any other ideas

6. exfoliant - mix with a little water to make paste. Helps flake off dry skin
7. Pour some into a running bath - I remember my mom doing that when I had chicken pox! It was very soothing.
8. Mix with vinegar to make a volcano. (Or a magician's magic potion)

9. Dip your damp tooth brush into baking soda and brush...It is a great way to whiten your teeth with out spending a bunch of money!
10. All purpose cleaner...Yup it works well on toilets- also on counter tops, bathtubs
11. pour it arround a clogged sink, then pour vinegar. Let sit then flush with HOT water...no more clog!
12. sprinkle it on the carpet then vaccume! Gets rid of odor

I use it to clean my flat top range instead of the expensive cermanic cooktop cleaner. Also, cleans pots/pans that have some stuff stuck on them. Made my tea kettle shine on the outside

I use it in my laundry to brighten colors and whiten whites. (a lot cheaper and more uses than Oxyclean!)

When food overflows in the oven while cooking sprinkle a thick layer of baking soda on it so it won't smoke and burn and finish your cooking.

I mix baking soda with a little vinegar and run it down my drains to clean them out. You follow it with hot water.

When I get a sweat ring from a glass on my kitchen table I pour a little baking soda on it and let it sit for a few minutes. Then I gently rub for a while. If the stain isn't too bad it will pull the moisture out and will look a lot better if not disappear completely. I saw someone do this on a wood floor on a home improvement show a few years ago.
