Ladies, I just read this in the woman's world magazine to save up
to 40% on your water bill they had this tip put a plastic water bottle
filled with water in the tank of your toilet. Supposedly it takes up space
and you use 2 gallons less per flush. Thought you all might like to know
this.

It doesn't say anything in the article about older models. So I guess it's
safe to do it on the newer models to. It also says $4.00 out of every $10.00
on your water bill goes to flushing your toilet. Who knew?

I've heard it too...you can use anything to displace the water, bottles filled with water, sand, gravel, bricks etc I think it is geared more for older toilets that use so much more water to flush than newer models. If you do do it...you just have to be sure to allow 3-4 gallons in the tank for proper flushing.

Awesome! Thanks! This is one area I have not been able to figure out how to cut. And I am not into the "if it's yellow, let it mellow" way of doing things! I will try this out. Thanks!

I am going to try this. The guy that had this house before us cut corners on everything. I'm convinced he found these toilets at a fire sale.
