I don't think I really have a style but I do decorate with roses and magnolias. Every room in my home is decorated with the same colors..burgundy, cream, blue and green. I have laminate floors and a few burgundy throw rugs on them.

Modern. Lots of black and silver. My kitchen is more country... I would say.

My house is kinda outdoors-y. We have prints of wildlife on the walls all over the house. DH is bringing home his deer mount tonight that will be hung on the living room wall Not thrilled with that, but don't have anywhere else for it. Anywho, kitchen is bright yellow with goose painting on the wall. Rugby's room is an outer space room (I get goosebumps looking at it, it's so neat!!) and Riley's room will be fishing when we get it done. (Complete with a real swordfish!) Hardwood floors in the bedrooms, carpet in the rest of the house (including the kitchen, but that'll be coming out SOON!). Oh, and one bathroom is beachy and I have pix I took of the kids while we were at the ocean last summer hanging on the wall in there with tropical fish. I like that room.

Dh and I tend to like the more formal look. We are starting to decorate the kitchen and dh just painted it a nice warm beige. He is putting up dentil crown moulding and chair rail. We are getting a crystal chandalier for over the island. The countertops are black/brown/tan granite. I'm decorating with sterling sliver pieces, most passed on from family members. We're painting an accent wall a deep scarlet and plan on having black/white toile and black/white checkered curtains. Well anyway that is the plan!
Another thing, even thought it might not seem like it, but I'm definitely a minimalist! So everything is 'hidden'.

Our home is a 1935 Georgian-style home and I decorated in a manner that would have been appropriate to its character. I tend to like a warm formal look....my living room is pale yellow walls with white wainscoting, crown molding, fireplace mantle, and windows. The fireplace is very formal since it is made from Italian marble so I worked around the "personality" of the home as much as possible. I have white lace curtains but I would really like a red toile because my accent color is red. I had a french country image when I decorated in there. My dining room is the same color scheme and both rooms have a mix of family heirloom furniture and pieces that my husband and I have bought.
Our family room is decorated with warm plaids since it is a more informal room with a brick fireplace and original pecan paneling on the walls (not my favorite, but it is in such great condition...)
I want to redo our kitchen since we couldn't decorate it at all when we moved in, so it is done in the taste of the previous owner....who didn't have the same taste that I do. But it is something that will wait until we can afford it. Maybe once all the kids are out of college.

Ours is more of a romantic country style with earthy toned walls, hardwod oak floors...furniture through house is oak or pine, cabinets are oak. Colors consist of Blues, beige, sage, burgandy, taupe. We have an open floor plan downstairs, so all the colors flow together...I also have lots of floral prints downstairs on walls and windows and then prints of children upstairs on the hallway walls (similar to the Kim Anderson line but not her) I also love plants...so I have them all over (real or fake). It's homey and comfortable!

Jeanette, I live in a 1929 Craftsman/Tudor and I also have deorated in an era-appropriate manner.
I like a few semi-modern touches, so my style could be called eclectic, but I totally lean traditional, without being stuffy.
My living room is a sage green, indigo and khaki with antique sofa and two side chairs that my father reupholstered for me, the dining room is khaki and scarlet with a couple of periwinkle and sage accents, and the kitchen is butter yellow, cobalt and white with a fruit theme.
My son's room has lots of colors with Noah's Ark wall-decor (his name is Noah!) DD's room is done in raspberry, lime, pink and white (goes with the Strawberry Shortcake comforter she currently has, but it will last past that). Master bedroom is not decorated but someday soon will have a scarlet/multi upholstered headboard and probably a dark khaki on the walls. Bathroom is being remodeled and will have period-appropriate white subway tile on the walls and hopefully white hexagonal tile on the floor...I am taking suggestions for wall color but I am leaning toward deep taupe or deep periwinkle.
I'd love to see photos of your house too! Perhaps after I do some housekeeping I can post photos of mine.

It sounds lovely! I like to see pictures of other people's decor so that I can get inspired for my own home, so I'd love to see your pics!!!
I'm pretty satisfied with my living room, dining room, entry way, family room, and the kids bedrooms. I'm not satisfied with our master bedroom, spare bedroom, or any of the baths. I would feel better if I had more art/decor on my walls, but we have plaster and slate walls that don't drill nicely, so when we make a hole, it has to be for good. I'm not ready to lock myself in to hanging yet......Also, we have made all the other rooms a priority since those are the rooms most people will see, and we just don't have the money to do the rooms I still would like to do more with.
My kitchen also needs to be redone, but it will have to wait. It isn't immediately imperative. It's mostly a matter of taste....and the fact that the previous owners left one and a half walls unpapered....just didn't finish the job...and now we can't match the plaid paper they used. Ugh.
Anyway, post pics when you can!!
