What is your routine?
Try tossing WET wash cloths in the microwave for 30 sec and then rinsing it out. That seems to help me. For the dirty ones that are going to be washed in the next laundry cycle, I usually hang those on the edge of a laundry basket or the wash tub sink so that they dry and don't stink.

Cloth here as well. As a matter of fact, one thing I buy for Baby gifts is the 18 pack of white washclothes at Walmart. I learned that trick working Daycars. It takes me forever to go through paper towels. I know plenty of people whoe use paper to wipe their kids faces' but that can get expensive quick. As far as kitchen linens, I bought plain white hand towels and wash clothes and then I can throw all of them in the wash together with some bleach!

We are trying to use less of everything in our household, so down to about 1 roll every week and a half. Before we were using 2 per week. I will say that since I hid them in the cabinet, we are doing much much better. I think we may even see 3 weeks with one roll. I hope.

I only use paper towels to make baby wipes and face washing wipes for myself. I have color coded wash cloths that I bought from walmart for cheap to use on other things--cleaning, washing after meals, dishes.

I don't buy paper towels for enviornmental and financial reasons. I use dish rags or cloth diapers which are absorbent to clean up spills etc.

I stopped buying paper towels also. I keep a dish towel next to the kitchen sink for drying our hands on while cooking. For cleaning up after chicken, pork etc, I put a little bleach in the sink and wash with a dish clothe, then hang it on the side of a basket to dry. I wash dish towels and clothes seperate from other towels and such, fear of hairs being on my kitchen linens.

I used to go through 4 rolls of paper towels a week!!! I realized that after a month we were spending close to $20 on paper towels that we didn't need to spend. So, we started using cloth napkins at dinner. We use three, my husband and I share, our two girls share and our two boys share. Then into the wash...unless they didn't use them or barely used them. For cleaning I use old burp cloths. Actually I did this after I was having a garage sale and was getting ready to put them out to sale with baby stuff and thought, hmmm, I could use these for cleaning! I do still buy paper towels but now it takes us two weeks to go through one roll! Yea!!
