What do you do with the bottle or tube cut open? do you scrape the exta into a container or something so it doesn't dry out or get everywhere?

I cut the top two inches off my lotion tubes (from Bath and Body works) and then use that as a "lid" to keep it from drying out. I just cut more off the bottom part to keep reaching the extra lotion inside. It lasts another week or so for me.

That is definitely a great tip that I will put to use. My question is though what do you cut the plastic bottles or tooth past tubes with? I have a good pair of scissors but I don't think they would do the trick.

I never thought of this either and I've heard of this recently.
I actually did it this past week with my toothpaste and got five more brushings from it.
Not bad.
Great idea!
