We have both. They are as of this time not really decorated although they do have furniture. The living room is right to the right of the front door and we're going to do it ultra formal. We might put granite flooring in there and definitely a baby grand (used!). But that's not for a few years.

Our family room is probably the next room of the house to be decorated (we're doing the kitchen now). We have one sofa, brown leather, that I really like but we are going to need an additional sofa/loveseat combo for more seating. Dh has a big screen tv and I insisted it be in some sort of cabinet when not in use and the only one we found to fit is mission style which does not go with anything else. So dh is going to paint it trim colour to blend in better. We need a new coffee table and end tables probably oval glass. It really is a nice room but needs a lot of decorating work. The focal point is the fireplace.

We also have a dining room which has all my grandmother's 1930's Duncan Pfiffe (sp?) furniture in it. We desperately need to re-do (refinish) it and probably will send out to get it done. It is also going to be very formal. But thats not for a LONG time (5 years?)
