I like Macy's brand Charter Club towels and sheets. They usually go on sale and sometimes they have some of them on clearance.

We have Ralph Lauren as well. They are over eleven years old and still in great shape. My sister has had these same towels for over 15 years. I just bought towels from Kohls for my kids' bath less than a year ago and will need to replace soon...they were not that cheap and they are not holding up at all.

We received some really nice Gloria Vanderbilt towels from Kohls as a wedding gift, and we love them! They have really held up well, and look practically new compared to some of our others. We also received some of Kohls' "The Big One" towels, and they're not bad, just not as thick and soft as many others. But I think they're a good towel for the price.

I bought a set of towels probably 6 or 8 months ago from Macy's when they were on sale, to replace some crappy walmart towels I had. They were originally like $18 a towel, on clearance for $5 or something cheap. With a % off code, I got 6 bathtowels and 6 handtowels for a GREAT PRICE. I thought they'd hold up well - NOT!! They're shredding and unraveling. I'm none too happy. I went to my mom's house and saw her nice, plump, soft towels and looked at the tag -- walmart. boggles my mind.

Us too...some of mine are 10 years old and still thick and fluffy.

I have also had good luck with Ralph Lauren towels. I had some in college and the only difference between then and now is that the colors have faded (they were jewel tones, so that may have something to do with it).

I discovered Hotel Towels from Macy's. They are gorgeous and last a long time. If you get them on sale and use your Macy's card benefits when you get them the price isn't too bad. I've also had Ralph Lauren in the past and they were great too.

I bought some Ralph Lauren towels at TJ Maxx several years ago and they still look great. This was for my guest bath. My dh & ds' bath needed towel replacements and I went to Ross. They had Ralph Lauren bath towels for $5.50. THey are so soft and from my experience, last a very long time. Good luck in your search - let us know what deals you find. Tuesday Morning is also a good place to find towels.

My mom has always bought from JC Penney. I am in need of new towels, so I'll have to wait until they have a sale.

I've had good luck with the higher end ones at Wal-mart and K-mart both.

i buy the big ones at kohls some i have had for 10 years and are still thick.. they don't tend to thin out on me like the ones from k-mart( i hate martha stewart products not good quality for the money they charge one washing on her sheets and i had to take them back) or target. now i did buy a couple more expensive towels at walmart that were really thick and soft and i have washed them three times and so far so good they have held up great we will see in about 6 months.
