I have had luck at Marshalls, Tj Maxx, Kohls and Bed Bath and beyond. Of course my towels don't match perfectly but they are for the most part in excellent shape!

Charter Club by Macy's I have had mine for 6 1/2 years and they still look and feel great and they aren't that expensive. You might as well spend a little more $ than you usually would because you won't be replacing them so in the long run you may actually be spending less money.

My sister sometimes finds good deals on Landsend.com in their outlet sectiong. You might try their. She says their towels are great.

My best towels (only dh and I use them) are from Shopko. We got them 6 1/2 yrs ago for a wedding present. They haven't thinned or worn out, no holes. BTW, if you're wondering the kids don't use these cause we use fabric softener on them and they have sensitive skin.

We have an array of brands of towels. The Polo brand towels from our wedding started coming apart a few years after we got them and the Ralph Lauren towels held up only slightly better. My favortie towels are from Stein Mart. I'm not sure the brand but I had purchased them for a bridal shower that I wound up not going to so I know I didn't pay a whole lot for them.

I have been wanting some nice towels for our master bath for about a year now, but I too can't seem to part with the money needed to buy good quality towels.

Sorry I couldn't help much.
