Cleaning house where children are growing is like shoveling snow while it's still snowing!!

LOL this is sooo true! I actually thought this in my mind yesterday while I was trailing behind my son trying to clean my house (over and over again)! A side note, but just wanted to say how amusing and perfect that was! Thanks for the smile

My 4 1/2 yr old ds has the twin blue Little Tikes race car bed and car quit and valance. We have cars, trucks and plane decals on the wall and the walls are blue. For Christmas/B-day this year he is getting loft bunk beds and varsity/sports quilts. He is so into Star Wars and has been for over a year but I don't want to do a whole Star Wars theme (he does have original sheets though from the early 80's and they are made better and hold up better than sheets made today) only to have to change it in a few years, although we think Star Wars is something he will never outgrow! That's why we decided on the sports theme. I don't care what sheets he has on the bed though since you don't see them.

My 13mo old ds has a Winnie the Pooh room that used to be my other ds's. As soon as other ds gets the bunk beds he will get the race car bed and everything that goes with it. Poor thing, he'll never get anything new! I'm glad he has taken after his brother and loves cars.

Grey, that is a beautiful room! I love the colors together and the bedding.

My dd's room (she is almost 1) is done in antique baby style. It is painted yellow (I wanted it painted before she was born and we didn't know the sex, and besides I like yellow!!) The house is almost 100 years old. The baseboards are the big/wide ones, dark wood, dark 5 panel door on closed and room door. I have my mom's antique baby buggy (toy), her toys, books. Our dd is named after my mom who died almost 4 years ago. We have dh's grandma's antique wicker chair (brown and the seat has a flower pattern, with red, yellow and brown). I have several items that I had as a baby. The curtain topper is done in denim, from WalMart. It is fastened over the rod with buckles that you would find on suspender pants, way cute!!!! I have a big denim blue rug. I have a antique child's rocker that was made for my mom in her room. I just absolutely love her room!!!!!! Didn't cost much and the meaning that it has, wow!!!! Michelle

Right now, DD room is faires and DS is sports. I'm looking to change DS room ,so I will be keeping up with this thread for ideas!! When they were babies it was classic pooh- we lived in a cape cod style house in NJ that had 2 bedrooms upstairs and as they are 27 months apart, I was sleeping close to them so they shared a room....We had a tree painted on the wall with a flower garden at the bottom and hung a pooh bear on a swing from a painted tree branch on the ceiling...I loved that room.....

My 3 year old's room is done with a Veggie Tales theme. Basically all the characters are primary colors. Currently, we live in an apartment, so no walls are painted, except for the typical white.

Both girls rooms are cotton candy pink! Lexi has all white bedroom furniture with a butterfly theme and Aubrey's is a butterfly dragonfly theme!

I kinda over did it in the pink, you can see what color it is in the background of my siggy pic!
