Simon's room is done in safari animals. *It is yellow and green because I didn't know what we were having. *I'm especially proud of his changing table/dresser and bookshelf because my dad made them.

Bayley (7) has a room with mostly pink stuff to go with her Strawberry Shortcake comforter (I totally never expected to buy into character decorating but the price was right). I'm thinking of buying her a cool poodle-textured comforter sometime from Domestications because I don't know how long the Strawberry Shortcake thing will last -- a couple more years maybe?

Noah (3) has a Noah's Ark theme -- imagine that! I am currently making (and by making I mean thinking about cutting out pieces) a quilt with mostly primary colors. One side will have some Noah's Ark squares, the other side will just be assorted colors...hopefully it will last him through high school.
I am looking forward to decorating my and DH's bedroom one of these years!

What great themes everyone had for their childrens rooms! I think that we all have some talent in the decorating dept! They all seem like such neat ideas! I would love to see Pictures of any of them!

Princessabby- Love what you did for your girl's room! Each of them has a room fit for a princess!
Z&E'sMommy- What a neat and original theme you have for your boys room! I love it! I bet you can't help smile anytime you go in to it! What bright and happy colors!

My DD Megan, 7, has a tea party theme. The top of the wall is a light pink, which is about the top 2 foot, then a tea party border and the bottom of the wall a bright pink. She has my old canopy bed, desk, and dresser. DH built her a dollhouse bookcase that looks like the one in Pottery Barn, only he made it a lot bigger! He got carried away! LOL! She has bedding to match the border.

Madison, 4, has a butterfly/flower theme. She has 3 lavender walls, and one Tinkerbell green! There is a picket fence on 3 sides of the room, FIL and my SIL built it.

For the baby I want to do airplanes, am searching for something I like.

Here is what I did with my boys' room. I did have a peter rabit themed nursery, until the boarder got torn down by my lovely son #1. I figured this type of thing would last for a while, and I won't have to be repainting it for years... hopefully!

This is the border that USED to be in Evan's room, 3yrs ago. But he decided he didn't like it and didn't care that my dh spent extra time trying to make sure it was perfectly measured all the way around. He slowly began picking at it until nothing was left. I wish someone told me to forget about putting it at his height and just do it around the top of the walls.

Erin, I love the color blocked look you did. That looks really cool. Was it hard?

yep that's what happened to my boarder too! I had put Gavin in his bed at naptime when he was 18 mos. and he decided that instead of sleeping he was going to pick at the wall paper! It ws great fun for him I'm sure

not at all. I just used a level that happened to be 2 ft long, and so that's how big I did the squares! Just used regular painters tape to tape it off once I got them all marked. It was fun to get it all done, and see what I had accomplished. I told dh that he couldn't help me, because I couldn't explain what I wanted to do, and he'd just irritate me trying to figure it out! So I did it by myslef!!!
