When DS#1 was born, my sister, and DH's brother, who are both excellent artists, painted a Baby Snoopy theme in the room. It was the theme with the moons and stars; we had the bedding set and a valance, and they painted "mini-murals" to match. It was absolutely gorgeous.
Then, when #2 came along, we moved big brother to our 3rd bedroom. His room is now done in a sports theme. DH painted it with one of the Behr Disney colors. I think it's called Fairy Godmother. It's a pale blue, but not quite baby blue. We put a sports ball border around the top, and DH put up all his Miami Dolphins stuff on one wall, and Boston Red Sox stuff on another. We also bought a few of the sports ball themed accessories from Target - an accent shelf, clock, and little 3 tiered shelf for stuffed animals. It came out nice. Then when little brother outgrew all the baby stuff in the nursery, we painted his room another Disney color (can't recall the name); it's kind of a lime green. His room is decorated in a "transportation" theme. We got Wallies that are planes, trucks, and trains, with a matching clock. He has one of those area rugs in the middle of the floor that's like a little city where he can run his cars along the roads. He's also got a Thomas the Tank Engine comforter and a small accent shelf where all his Thomas trains are displayed. DH also put up a few of his sports' teams items in that room, too. If their rooms weren't such a mess with toys and clutter right now, I'd post pics - LOL.
