Money saving tip - Always ask yourself "Do I really need this??"

Just because its on clearance, doesnt mean you necessarily need to buy it. Think about when you bring it home, will it just become clutter?

This is a big one for me! I see a sale and think about all of the money I am "saving", when I am actually wasteing money on something I don't need.

This is a very good point, I know a lot of people see the clearence signs and they just go crazy like they are getting a really good deal! Yes sometimes you do, sometimes you don't. Just like my dd, bless her heart she is a teenager and she loves the clearence racks but I always ask her if she really needs it and she stops to think what she has and what she needs and she usually doesn't need it cause she already has something similar to it.

You are absolutely right. I am having this realization over and over again while I am decluttering. I also have the "what was I thinking?" and "what a waste of money" thoughts many times as well.

I agree too. The worst place for me to go to is Christmas Tree Shops. Cheap stuff from China. Even if I tell my self that I only going to get that one thing I spent $10-$20 or $30! Aargh.

This is a big deal for us. My hubby LOVES, no let me change that LOVES the clearance isles. The second we walk into a store, he heads straight there. And he always comes back with something we don't need. Just this week at walmart he comes back with five things in hand, only one would have been a good buy for us (a batting helmet for the kids to play baseball $2 on clearance). Drives me crazy! I don't need more "stuff" around my house thank you!
