We ALL know the benifits of vinegar as a household item! I've resorted to now buying by the gallon! LOL It costs less then $3 for the gallon at Walmart.

I mix it in a spray bottle with some dish soap and water to make an all purpose spray. I use it to clean counters, my table, windows and I dust with it.

I mix it with bleach and water to wash my floors.

I use it as a fabric softener in my washer. Its also a great deterent for those aweful laundry odors. You know the one, that God Aweful smell when you leave wet clothes in the washer too long!

What do YOU use vinegar for?

How much do you use as fabric softener? I've used it for washing windows and mirrors.

Vinegar has been my #1 cleaner for awhile. I feel like a weirdo at the grocery store with my tote bags, gallon of vinger, 20 minute clean team box of Borax, organic food, etc. My theory is to save on cleaners and spend it on organic food.

I use vinegar for everything, all purpose cleaner, laundry booster, floor cleaner, drain cleaner, etc.

I started using vinegar a few months ago for cleaning and it was the best thing I've done. My kids like to be right there when I'm cleaning and I feel much better knowing that they are crawling around on a floor that has just been cleaned with vinegar and water over bleach or other chemical cleaners.

I went through a phase a month ago where I was using Pledge cleaners--it didn't last long, lol.

I have spray bottles with straight vinegar in the bathrooms and a 50/50 water and vinegar bottle with my cleaning supplies.

*To clean my windows or tv screen (anything I would use windex I spray the water and vinegar bottle and wipe with newspaper and then go over it with a microfiber cloth. (My second best friend, lol)

*Drain cleaner--once a week I put a 1/8 a cup of baking soda in my drain, follow with a cup of vinegar, let it foam a bit and then dump a couple cups of boiling water down the drain.

Ok, I could go on and on, but I won't. The website 3lynns mentions is a good one.

I read in Mother Earth News that apple cider vinegar helps keeps mice away from your house. These people poured it around the house. You would think with six cats this wouldn't be an issue for me but it has been in the past.
