My and I have been taking turns buying a membership to a Wholesale Club. She'll buy the membership on year and we'll shop together or she'll pick up things I'm in need of. We'll stock up a few weeks before the membership expires, then when we're due for a trip, I'll buy the membership. This has worked great for us for a few years now!

that's a good idea. we have a family member who has a membership, and we usually stock up with her, but we've moved. it would be good to find a friend around here who could split the cost and we could share the benefits.

My mom and i do this. It is a great way to save money- heck, $40 a year is $40 a year, right? i just go online before she takes her monthly trip and I make a list for her. Or I go with her- and she does the same when it's our year. Works out well for us and it's a Great little tip!

One busy household!

I just now returned from Costco - with my neighbor who is a member. We are not members, so I go with her to get candy, baby wipes and Similac for DD. I am totally against paying them the $50, instead I give her nice gifts - gave her a gift card for $30 for pedicure/manicure. I also cook food for her son - he likes some dishes I make etc. Overall, we have great neighbors.
