Well, my electricity bill and gas bill went down dramatically this past month, due to simply line drying most of my wash-except jeans and towels. When I do wash, I use only cold water, except when I do my whites. I also cut down my washing time in half, I set the washer for 8 minutes. As for my electricity, I simply just make sure lights are off when no one is in the room, tvs, etc. Also, I try to unplug appliances when they are not in use, it really does make a difference. I have a huge deep freezer in my basement which has not been used in probably a year, I unplugged it, and that was a huge savings. Between the gas and electricity, I probably saved $50-$75.

thats wonderful.. After having heating oil being delivered this week and it costing 2.72 a gallon right now, I too have switched to cold water, and if it is sunny and warm enough have been hanging out the laundry.. I now have something to look forward to in next months bill..
