I use the half and half solution to clean just about everything. The toliet bowl I use baking soda and vinegar. Sprinkle the baking soda and then pour about 1/2 cup of vinegar. It will bubble. Wait til that dissipates and scrub with toliet brush and flush. I use vinegar in my fabric softner compartment. It comes premarked (the compartment) and I just fill to the fill line. Works everytime. I keep very few commercial cleaners. Soft scrub, dishwashing detergent, laundry soap, otherwise it is vinegar, salt, and baking soda. Easier on our budget that way too. Need to save as much money as possible.

I use Vinegar instead of Fabric softner in the washer. I just fill the downy ball to the line with vinegar and toss it in the washer. My clothes never smell like vinegar.

I use vinegar also in my laundry, and put equal parts baking soda in for a natural bleach. My suggestion is 1/2 cup per load... It will even help cut unwanted odors such a mildew if used as a combination. Put the baking soda in the laundry along with your detergent. I also will put a few drops of essential oil in the "free & clear" detergent, and the clothes smell like the essential oil. I suprised my husband w/ coconut smell on his clothes. He loved it!
