I used to do themes but not really anymore, I kind of mix and match.

My kitchen is yellow with red accents that are a little chef man and a wine theme.

My living room is yellow with hunter green couches and dark purple accents. I have lots of baskets, family pictures and candles around. It is very family centered.

My den is in dark red which is basically where my husband hangs out. He decorated it in his military and Kansas City Chiefs stuff.

My room is sage green with lots of family pictures and quilts.

My kids room is in construction yellow with cars and trucks theme. They have bunk beds and bean bags.

The guest room is done in Americana. I used to have my whole house decorated in that and I got tired of it so I put it all in my guest room.

The kids bathroom is bright orange with green, blue, and orange dinosaurs. They love it.

I'm so jealous. I wish I had the time, money, and talent to decorate like that. I just put up different curtains for different seasons. This year I'm going to buy stuff when they go on clearance (like going on Saturday for valentine's day decorations) so I can do that next year

No real themes here but I do love seeing houses that have them.

My living room is a beigey color (like a cuppa' coffee with lots of cream), with cranberry accents. Beige leather couch and chair with a darker brown durasuede chaise.

LR links to DR, which is gray on two walls with cranberry red on two other walls.

DR links to kitchen which is the same gray walls with Corian countertops and light oak cabinets.

Boys bedrooms are blue with a space border; blue with glitter in it (was the master bedroom previously); and white with a red accent wall and a sports theme border.

MaBR is light blue with white trim.

MaBaR is dusty rose walls with lighter pink trim.

Boys bath is ocean blue with white trim.

Basement is sunny yellow since it has limited natural lighting.

I don't really do themes, I feel that it can limit you sometimes to what you can put in a room. The kids have their themes just 'cause their kids. My ds has the monster truck, nascar thing going on and my dd did have the mystic purple color with a border going on but wants to change it to something my teen adult like. When we get our familyroom done that might have a theme just because we already have the stuff for it.
Otherwise I usually have the walls painted the color that is in season and some accents to go with it.

I don't really do a theme- unless you consider cotttage style one!
My house is decorated in warm yellows, reds and white. I love anything old, floral ( think cabbage roses! ) and one of a kind!
My sons room is done in vintage cowboy stuff so i guess that is sorta a theme uh? LOL

Our living room is a tan color and I guess you would call it a nostalga room with 60s, and
70s accents. The dining room is yellow and dark green and doesn't really have a theme. The kitchen is a medium green with an apple theme. One bathroom is fish and the other is frog/pond and flowers. Our bedroom is dark purple and ecclectic. My oldest son is Disney Car's theme. Our daughters room is yellow and is Disney and Pooh and anything that matches. Our baby sleeps in our room but will share with DS #1 eventually.

I focus on color, feeling, and style when I decorate. I like soft pastels, so my living room and dining room ar done in soft yellow. I have red accents in both rooms and they are both a warm, formal, antique-traditional style. The master bedroom on the main floor is soft pink with burgundy accents and is also antique. The master on the 2nd floor is soft blue with red accents. It doesn't have a feeling or style yet...it will be the last one we do. Wyndser's room is soft pink with a whispy floral decor. It is also very warm and a bit vintage. Carson and Parker have an antique/vintage room that is medium/soft blue with medium/soft green. The family room is original pecan panelling that I can't bring myself to change (historic home), so I did it in burgundy/navy/hunter plaid.

I love decorating!!

Jeannette, I must say that i love the way you decorate! I remember a while back you posted a picture of i think it was your living room. I just sat and drooled over the room!
I just love all the colors you have chosen! If you really wanted to you could post more pictures for us! ( hint, hint lol!)

I don't have any themes (except Peanuts in the nursery) but I am working on a modern/country/cottage style. I like bright colors with old or old-style country type furnishings. My dining room is apple green with white trim, dark wood floors, an oak farmhouse table with black chairs and oak hutch and pie safe. So far it is the only room we have that is completely furnished with furniture that we've purchased ourselves. The rest of the house is hand me downs for now. I've painted most of my house with colors that I love: a great blue in the living room and hall, sunny yellow in the kitchen, pale blue in the bathroom. My next project is to fix up the guest room for DD when the new baby arrives.

Our home is decorated with things I like and there is something John Deere in every room of the house. LOTS of John Deere!
