I meant to mention that the deep cleaning stuff gets done during the day: bathrooms, mopping, vacumming, etc.

The tidy up stuff gets done during bath time (since the boys are with daddy) and so they wake up to a clean room. However, I do get my boys to help out with tidy up before dinner so it's not always my responsibility and that they can learn to keep their space clean!

I do this too. I clean up in the morning, before dinner and right before bedtime.

I do the majority in the AM though because i am exhausted by the afternoon, but I like for htings to be put away when DH getss home, and at night everything hs to be put away before I go to bed (so its not so scary in the am)

If I do it everyday, it takes about a half hour or so to do it all. Then I have a "project" for each day. If I get to it, great. If not, oh well. Tomorrow's another day. "Project"s include washing kitchen/bathroom tile floors, dusting, changing sheets on beds, grocery shopping/errands, cleaning out fridge, thorough bathroom cleaning (toilet, bath, etc).
I always intend to "schedule" but I fall behind and then feel overwhelmed.

I like cleaning at night...the problem with that though, is I get started then can't goto sleep, and with the kids needing to get up earlier in the AM, that makes it a rough next day for me if I'm on 4 hours sleep! The lists work best for me. I have a daily list printed up by week ,and at the beginning of each week, I 'schedule' cleaning time. Mondays is laundry and clean up kitche, Tues and Sat are bathrooms, etc.... I check it off as I go....odd, but it helps.
