If you scroll to the end it tells you how much energy some appliances use per year...It was quite interesting...and eye opening about some!

BTW, I love your sig picture. Cracks me up!

And thanks for the article. Honestly, I think the hardest habit for me to break is leaving the computer on all day and night. (We have several computers - DH's have to stay on all night to backup and such. Mine doesn't however.) I'm tempted to keep it off until the evening so I wouldn't waste so much time on it! Habits are hard to break though.

Hmmm...my electric is outrageous. Not so sure what I can do, unplugging everything is really not an option. I don't have a Plasma or big screen tv. I don't have central air and have hot water heat. Hmmm...I want to be more efficient, but not sure how to affordibly do it. My house is more then 100 years old.

You need to look at your power saving features. I have set the pc's to turn them selves off after half an hour of non activity.
