This might be a dumb question, but what does a top or front washer matter in how the detergents work? It is essentially the same detergent, just the machine is different... is it the agitation of one vs. the other or something??? TIA!

I'm assuming this is just for perfomance and not how environmentally friendly they are.

I use melapower. It is eco-friendly, does not cause cancer like tide and wisk will and is much, much less expensive per use! I get 96 loads out of ONE bottle!!

Cost per load
MelaPower®
15.0¢
pH Balanced

Tide® Cold water
30.7¢
pH Balanced

all®
21.8¢
Alkaline

Purex®
17.2¢
Alkaline

All the cleaning products I use are wonderful, work way better then the leading brands, are less expensive and non-toxic.

I hope this helps!

The detergent is different. Detergents for front loaders are forumulated differently to be used with less water and make less suds.

Can someone tell me where 3x all small and mighty ranks for front loaders? We use the free and clear because 2 of my DDs can't stand the smell of other laundry detergents.

momof4girls,
The All Small & Mighty ranked "Very Good" at 16 cents a load. I use that as well in the Free & Clear.
