Now that I have finally joined Sams club, I am excited to stock up on some things, but there is no room in my kitchen.
For those that stock up, where do you store extras?
I Want to get those metal or plastic shelving, but everything looks so expensive.
I really need some ideas for non perishables that will go in the basement area

I got 2 of those storage shelves with the double doors and 5 shelves at lowes for under 100 each! They are made out of heavy plastic.

One is in the utility room and i use it for a pantry and the other is outside on the patio by the hottub and we use it to store bug spray, weed killer, the hottub stuff and towels for the hottub.

Check on Craigslist dh bought some metal ones for the garage off of there cheap!

I've read about making your own shelving units from wood shelving boards (1"thick x 12" wide approx.) All you need is the wood (as much as you like) and some cinder blocks. Stack the cinderblocks on their end and place the board on top, stack 2 more cinder blocks, and another board on top of that. Keep on going!
