Crock pots are cheaper than the oven to cook food. With the warmer months finally coming I don't like to run the oven to heat up the house even more. This is usually the time of year I try new crock pot recipes.

I just used mine yesterday to make pulled pork sandwiches. Slow cookers are great! I also like to use my George Forman grill when we can't grill outdoors.

a toaster oven is also a much loved appliance here in the summer...great for chicken nuggets,egg rolls and english muffin pizzas

I use ours about 2 times a week. I get meat on manager's special (those that need to be sold that day) for really cheap 1-3 dollars. I just throw in the pot in the morning, add sides and it's something we all enjoy.

I have to get better with it though, I need to branch out and change it up a bit.

I love to use a our crock pot but dont know what all too do with it other than roast any one have any crock pot recipes they would like to share that would feed a family of 5 to 6 thank you
