I know many of you have your own tips for eliminating clutter in your homes, cars, offices and storage areas.

Please share something you've tried that really works for you.

Deal with it immediately - don't delay making a decision on something. I handle the snail mail every day - it either goes to the bill file, the recycle bin, or wherever else it belongs. No leaving it lie on the counter!

1) Have a deadline. Schedule the thrift truck to come then give them something to pick-up.

2) Have a place for the stuff to go. Get an old cardboard box and mark it "give away". Once it is in the box, it doesn't come back. Set up a garbage bag for the stuff you have to throw away.

we have a box on top of the dryer and we all put stuff in it we no longer want or need.it fills up fast then gets bagged and goes out the door fast too. and i agree that it should not come in at all.
