Same thing we do, for now we just open the windows, close the blinds to keep the sun out and turn on the ceiling fans.

Ours is set at 78, so it has been on for a few weeks now(But not constant).

We turned ours on 3 days ago. It got up to about 85 which really isn't that hot, but it was so humid that it was misearable. It is so humid here that we probably won't turn it off until this fall. It is a huge fight with dh every year, sometimes it just isn't worth the hassle.
I like to keep the thermostat on 78 but dh is always turning it down and I turn it back up. The temperature in our house is generally a big issue between us. He doesn't care how much it costs, he wants to be comfortable. Oh well....

We turned it on the first time last night. I like the windows open most nights but it gets stuffy and everyone has allergies. I keep the windows open during the day and at night we put the air on 73 or so.

We always tried to wait until June 1, but would usually have it on the end of May. This year, so far it's been fairly cool, not getting to 90° yet, that I have noticed. My neighbors have had theirs on for weeks now! We want to wait until June 15 if we can, but the humidity is what usually gets us. I'm with happymom, I have been shocked by all the a/c I've heard running while we are out on our walks.

I use ours when needed...I don't go by the calendar. If it's hot and humid and hard to sleep, I turn it on. I don't normally keep it on during the daytime, even when it's hot and humid because we're just not home all that often during the day.
