This cleaner is used for wood cabinets: 2 Tbsp. of olive oil, 4 Tbsp. of vinegar to 1 qt. of warm water (I use a clean empty spray bottle). It really shined up my cabinets nice.

I guess that you can say this is also environmentally friendly as a cleaner!

A few weeks ago, I used a similar combination (just olive oil and vinegar) to clean every inch of my dining room set, and it was not pretty (the stuff that came off, I mean).

So can this be used for all wood surfaces, to replace pledge?

It sounds like it would be equivalent to Murphy's oil soap?

Yes, I think it is like Murphy's. You could probably find out more about what types of wood it's suitable for by doing some google searches.

I will definitely give that one a try. Who knew olive oil and vinegar had so many uses---I've even used olive oil as a moisturizer for my dry legs.

We have an antique bedroom suit that was my grandmothers and gets very dry. I use just plain crisco oil on it about 1 every month or two (whenever it starts looking dull and dry) and it works sooo good.

Before we redid our cabinets they were dull looking and I rub crisco oil on them and boy did they look good.
