Besdies the tipcal Furniture stores sales on the Holiday any idea of how to get stuff at the Departement stores at a discount?

For example JCPennys had somethign I liked. Do they have sales also? Also I couldn't get the web site to tell me the shipping and where they shipped to (shore or home) without filling out the info. Do they do any free shipping on furniture?

Here are the JCPenney Shipping Rates/Info (for some reason I didn't need to put in any info to pull it up):

JCPenney

Yes, JCPenney does have coupons and sales - you just have to keep your eyes peeled. I have no idea if they do free shipping for furniture, just email or call them and ask.

Join their email list for emails on sales and other events. If you have a JCPenney near you, you might consider going into the store and talking with the salesperson on the floor - sometimes you can get really good deals that way. I've never shopped at JCPenney, but I've shopped at other department stores, so I'm going from that experience!

Good luck!

Darn it...link didn't work. I can't edit my post for some reason...weird.

Just go to the JCPenney website and put something in your shopping bag. Indicate you want to check out...when they ask you to register, just click on the button that says "register later - check out now".

On the next page, scroll all the way to the bottom and click on "shipping rates" to pull up their shipping information. There will also be a whole menu of customer service information on that page.

Good luck!

I know JC Penny runs a pretty good sale several times a year where you get like 20% off your purchase. I always see the ads in the Sunday Paper. I would just keep your eyes peeled.

I don't know about free shipping on furniture, but sometimes you can have them ship to your local store for free.
