Awhile ago I mentioned that I had read about camper's showers as a way to save money on water. (turn on water, soak yourself, turn off water, suds up, turn water back on to rinse)
Well......do to the flooding situation water has been restricted since Thursday. Today we took camper's showers because we were starting to stink, and we lived to tell the tale. It wasn't that bad.

I tried this once....it was winter & when I turned the water back on it was cold already! It took a bit to warm back up and that wasn't any fun. We do have a "low flow" shower head where you can adjust the amount of water. I need to start doing it that way, lower it to barely on that way the water stays warm enough that it's not a shock. Atleast it's summer time so if it did get colder it wouldn't be so bad!

I'm sorry you are being forced to do this. I hope this is all over soon and your life returns to normal.

I hated the real camper showers. I froze when the water was off!! Not so bad in Belize, where it's warm, but in the US in a real camp? Brrrrrrr! I even get cold in my own shower when I turn it off to shave my legs!!
