I learned this from a friend who was selling vacuum cleaners to get through college. You can also refresh sofa cushions, throw pillows, etc this way. Spray them with odor eliminator (or sprinkle with baking soda), put them in the bag (I do one per bag), suck the air out, and tie it off. Let it sit for about thirty minutes and viola. Makes the odor spray last much longer, and since it pulls the spray into the cushion, it actually gets to those pet odors, etc that are deep down in the cushion. I haven't tried bed pillows yet, but they are next. Another way to seal them off is to use zip ties. These are the plastic ties that electricians use to bundle wires together. (There are probably some in your garage as I don't know a man who doesn't love the things.) If not, you can get them at the home improvement store for really cheap if you buy the big bag. (Also known as wire ties.)
