Hotel owner tells Hispanic workers to change names - Yahoo! News

I can understand wanting them to speak English when speaking TO him, but not just because he's in the room and wants to be able to undestand their conversations just in case they might be talking about him.
And requiring them to Anglicize their names is beyond ridiculous.

Sounds to me like he needs to be reported to the labor board!

I agree with the whole not speaking Spanish in front of him thing but it was wrong to ask them to change their names.

I think that since this is America, English should always be spoken in public! But making some one change their name is utterly rediculous and illegal.

Hopefully he E-Verified those workers as to them being here legally, otherwise he really will be in a heap of trouble if he ends up on the I.C.E list of raids.
