I read this story yesterday and am floored. How could any person with a brain not care? What is this world coming too, Are we really that self absorbed?

That's pretty disgusting but i noticed alcohol was involved. Not saying what happened was right......but you add alcohol to the mix and bad things are bound to happen. "Liquid Courage" brings out behavior in people you might not ever expect. I don't know if the article ever mentions that those who observed the incident were drunk or sober? If they were drunk obviously they aren't in the right frame of mind to be of any help in the situation or just to afraid to stop it? I don't know.
I know personally i couldn't just stand there and witness that, i would have snuck away and gotten help if i could. Heck i can't even watch the rape scene in the movie " The Accused" with Jodie Foster without getting very sick to my stomach and that's just acting!

I was horrified that in broad daylight a teen was bludgeoned to death outside the school while dozens watched simply because he did not want to join a gang. The sad truth is that the world is not safe for our kids no matter how old they get.
It is sad that people do not have the courage to step up and stop this nonsense. Fortunately someone had to have informed the authorities since the article did state that the officers heard and assault was taking place.
