I was thinking the same thing when I read the article. People are always looking to screw the system. This is just one more way it could happen.

Seems plausible since you guys mentioned it but do you think they'd risk prison for a measley 75k? You can't even retire on that. Wouldn't be worth it to me but then again nothing would be worth suing my parents either.

You could be right, because why else would Mother dearest have written a letter (so it could be kept for court records for daughter) instead of just talking on the phone..... hmmmm
