Agreed. Oddly enough, on a similar thread on the old board, many people thought nothing of buying a child a car that they couldn't possibly maintain, afford, or insure without help. (To say nothing of the responsibility factor.) "It's my money and if I've got it, I'll do it" was the mantra.

Same difference here, folks. If they have it and they want to spend it, it's no one's friggin' business but their own.

how did you get the free coupon for a free cake from safeway?
It just came in the mail as a postcard. It was for a free 8 inch round cake with decorations, it easily fed about 11 people. It was a $16 cake.

Try going to Safeway.com or go to their bakery and ask about it.

I spend about $300 on a bday, that's presents, party, food and all.

I was one of those who had a limo for middle school graduation, my friends and I got togother and shared it. Our parents paid half we paid half. It was a special night I still remember!

I guess people with money don't really think about price, but I wonder what happens when their kids get bored of all this... or they run out of ideas. I would be afraid my child's friends would be her friends just for an invite...
